Getting Started with Cloud 9 Pet Sitting
We utilize a three-step process for starting pet sitting.
Phone Call –> Our office is always happy to take your call during office hours in order to discuss your needs and determine if our intensive serviced structure is a good fit for your household. [No Charge]
Meet & Greet —> Our manager will come to your home for a 30 minute meeting where we will meet all of your pets, review your care instructions, and ensure your household is comfortable with care with no further commitment required. [$25]
Comfortable Pet Introduction Package —> Because we offer intensive services with enrichment and behavior planning included, we spend time getting to know all dogs, collecting data to inform our care plan, prior to families leaving your dogs in our care. You will meet with Jordan 1-on-1 to discuss your behavior & enrichment plan, then complete four “test services” to identify best practices for their enrichment plan, behavior management, and care routine. [$129+]

Available in 20, 40, or 60 minutes of care, we will come to your home to care for all your pets with attentive service that meets their needs. These options are best for laid-back pets that are content to snuggle up at home for a lengthy snooze after their meals and light exercise.
Field Trip Outings

Gift your dog daily adventures! 60 or 90 minute outings available for the pets that need daily stimulation and engagement. We will take your dog out of the home to decompress, work on their skills, and receive fulfilling physical and mental exercise while you are away from home.
Extended Visits
$85+
Reserve 2-6 consecutive hours of stay-cation quality enrichment to make them feel right at home! Extended visits include enrichment activities, field trip outings, dog walking, house tasks, and more! This option gives pets continuous engagement for fulfilling daily stimulation.

Where does service take place?
Your pets stay comfortable in their own home and we come to you!
Do you only take care of dogs?
We care for all species! Cats, bunnies, hamsters, turtles, reptiles, chickens, rats—you name it, Nicole and I have lived with them and we will care for them. We offer a Cat Essentials package for homes of just ‘kitts’ as we call them, and you can mix and match any schedule if you don’t have dogs in your pet sitting booking. Totally common around here!
Do you offer overnight care?
Almost: services run from 6am-11pm.
Over the years, we have found that many pets are far more relaxed without having someone in their space 24/7. This allows them a chance to decompress and ensures staff are refreshed and focused on enriching your pets, without their attention divided by personal matters or their own pets while in your home.

Do you offer boarding?
No, and after starting in the boarding/board-and-train industry, we prefer in-home setting only here.
Will there be more than one person coming to my home?
Yes, and we specifically are able to offer the 100% guarantee we will show up because of it. Our staff are employees trained and overseen by us that we get to know and work closely alongside—not random contractors or hobby sitters. We are a team.
We also require the Comfortable Pet Introduction Package for dog households. This allows us to get to know your dogs and create detailed enrichment plans while allowing them to build a relationship with providers and learn the routine of care.
We’re proud of how we run services and use services for our own pets. We wouldn’t have it any other way, though we also understand that some households may prefer a less intensive and more casual 1-on-1 relationship with their pet sitter—but that’s just not how we run pet sitting here!
Are there extra charges or fees for [insert task or specific circumstance]?
No, no and no—everything we need to do to care for your pets and their environment (your home) is included. We do not charge extra for additional pets, either.
What if a package isn’t enough for my pets’ needs?
Those are common options only: you can mix and match ANY combination of our services to create your booking. Our time working together through the Comfortable Pet Introduction Package will allow us to make tailored recommendations and get your pets comfortable with care.
If I’m having someone else sleep in the house or stop by in the middle of the day, can you provide fill-in services?
Yep! Happy to collaborate—we only need you to inform us who is authorized to be there and when so we aren’t spooked.
Are you experienced with [specific medical condition, physical ailment, or behavior]?
We welcome you to review testimonials from clients with anxious pets, reactive dogs, aggressive pets (including those with bite histories), hyper pets, shy pets, diabetic pets, pets with spinal cord injuries, and the like, regarding their experiences with our care. We’ve seen it all…truly.
Our Comfortable Pet Introduction Package will allow us the time to get acquainted and prove we have your pet needs covered! Let’s take our time getting set up to make sure everything is situated.
How long will my pets be left home alone during services?
That totally depends on the schedule you book—if your pet(s) can’t be left alone in your home at all, we swap out staff after six hours as our longest Extended Visit is 6 consecutive hours, and we’d need a game plan for the 11pm-6am window: but otherwise, we’re happy to be there as little or as long as your pets need. Our Comfortable Pet Introduction Package will allow us to collect data to inform what your pets thrive with.
What is your cancellation policy?
We have a 7-day cancellation notification requirement for pet sitting bookings. If your trip is canceled after the 7 day window, then you are welcome to swap your services for dog walks, outings, or enrichment visits—otherwise, we send our staff to the SPCA of Southwest Michigan to use the service hours for walking shelter dogs and playing with shelter kitties, and we’ll even send you the reports of the donated service hours!
Do you provide services on holidays and weekends?
Yes! We are proud to be serving the Kalamazoo area 365 days per year, 6am-11pm, rain, snow, or shine. We’ll be there.
