Cloud 9 Pet Services, LLC is owned and operated by twin sisters born-and-raised in the Kalamazoo area, Nicole and Jordan Bowdish. After wanting so much more than what we could find for our own pets’ care and dog training, we created Cloud 9 to provide professional quality pet service to our Kalamazoo community. Because each household is unique, we personally meet and work closely with each individual household to tailor service to your specific needs. C9C prioritizes trustworthy relationships, species-specific enrichment, and promoting the holistic welfare of both ends of the leash.
We believe our pets are a part of us, making our lives complete. To us, there is no such thing as “just” a pet, therefore working with us is NEVER “just” a dog walk, pet sitting gig, or training program. Our pets deserve the kindest and highest quality attention we have to offer. “I can’t recommend Cloud 9 enough (and I’m a person that never writes reviews).
My dog is my life. Last week we discovered he has an aggressive cancer and won’t be around for much longer. Worse, I needed to attend a work conference the next week (I’m normally a work-from-home dog mom). Even worse, my husband’s grandfather passed away, and he needed to leave town to attend the funeral. I have never left my dog with a stranger before, but we just moved to the area and don’t know anyone. We looked into some kennels, but we knew none of them would provide the comfort, care, attention, and accommodations that our boy needed. Cloud 9 was kind of a hail Mary for us and leaving my boy in the care of strangers for the first time—when he is at his most vulnerable too—left me feeling guilty and anxious. But the attention to detail, care, kindness, and transparency of Cloud 9 has blown me away.
With every visit, I receive a lengthy update, many photos, a checklist, and a map of their walk. They double-check everything and have been so reassuring for this anxious, maybe helicopter, dog mom. I cannot express my gratitude enough for this company. I am weepy with thankfulness and relief that my boy is in such great hands. I wish every dog parent had access to Cloud 9; this is the business model every pet sitting company should aspire to. My only regret is that I discovered them at the end of my dog’s life and will only need their services for a short time. When I’m ready to adopt again, Cloud 9 will be one of my first calls.
